Southampton Town police are searching for a man they say forcibly stole another man’s wallet and $365 from in front of USA Deli in Flanders last Wednesday night.

Police say they are looking for the man shown in the upper left corner of the video surveillance photo above. He’s described as a heavy set, light-skinned black male in his 30s. He’s approximately 6-feet tall, police said.

The victim said an unknown man grabbed him around the neck and dug into the victim’s right rear pocket and removed the wallet, which contained $365 cash, and then fled across Flanders Road into a wooded lot last Wednesday, according to police.

The suspect was wearing a multi-colored hooded jacket and light blue socks, the victim told investigators.
