Blog Recap: Riverhead improves to 2-1 with blowout win over North Babylon

After dropping their first game of the season last week at West Islip, the Riverhead Blue Waves return to action this afternoon at North Babylon. The Blue Waves fell 16-13 on a last-second field goal against West Islip.

The Bulldogs came into the season as the No. 6 seed and opened up with victories over Half Hollow Hills West and Centereach. The Bulldogs have always been known as a team that loves to run the ball. Against Hills West the Bulldogs tallied 275 yards on the ground. But against Centereach quarterback Jake Connor also threw for two touchdowns, proving opponents need to respect the aerial attack.

Riverhead and North Babylon did not meet last year.
