Joseph Ginex, formerly of Plainview, died Sept. 24 at his home in Riverhead. He was 76.
Born Feb. 16, 1936, in Brooklyn to Maria and Ignazio Ginex, he worked as a patrolman for the N.Y.P.D. He was also an artist who loved music and gardening, family members said.
Mr. Ginex is survived by his wife, Nancy (née Bruno); his son, Paul; and his sister, Caroline Gravino.
Visiting hours will take place Friday, Sept. 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A service will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, at St. Isidore R.C. Church, Bishop Emil Wcela officiating, followed by interment at St. John’s Cemetery, both in Riverhead.
