Woman emerges from SUV, strikes man in Riverside

A Calverton man told police he was assaulted by a woman while he was trying to pull into a parking space in Riverside Saturday morning.

The man was at the Suffolk Federal Credit Union parking lot on Enterprise Drive when he found a black Chevy Suburban blocking the parking stalls, according to a Southampton Town police report.

But when he drove around the large SUV to get to one of the stalls, a woman got out of the Suburban, approached his car and hit him in the forehead with what police say was a “tire iron-like tool,” the report reads.

The woman then got back in the car and left the scene, police said.

No arrests have been reported.
