Michael James Hogan of Riverhead passed away suddenly on Oct. 11, 2012. He was 38 years old.
He was born July 8, 1974, in Riverhead to Rose (Marcinowski) and James Hogan. He graduated from Riverhead High School and attended Delhi University and Suffolk Community College.
Although he left us too soon, he enjoyed the fullness of life. He loved to play golf. He was an avid reader, loved to fish, to camp and all of nature. He loved animals and his biggest passion was football, especially the Washington Redskins.
Not only did he have all of these interests, he was also intelligent, loving and kind. His greatest gift was making people laugh, in any situation.
He is survived by his father, James Hogan, and companion, Fran, of Riverhead; his mother, Rose Hogan of Calverton; his sister, Christine Hogan; and his nephew, Sean Peterson of Mattituck.
Visiting hours took place Oct. 15 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A service was held Oct. 16 at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead, followed by interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue.
