Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Riverhead Police Department are seeking the public’s help to identify a woman who they say stole six North Face Denali jackets from the Sports Authority store on Route 58 in Riverhead.
The woman set off the stores alarm after she pushed a shopping cart through the sensors on her way out the store at 2 p.m. Dec. 5, police said. After store staff checked the sales floor, it was determined that the woman, who was accompanied by a man, had taken the jackets off a display rack in the store.
The jackets were valued at more than $1,000, according to police.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
