Riley a finalist for Miss Long Island Pageant

CARRIE MILLER PHOTO | Heather Riley, a 2008 Riverhead graduate, is a finalist for the Miss Long Island Pagaent.

Heather Riley is the first Riverhead native to be selected as a finalist in the Miss Long Island Pageant.

Miss Riley, 22, graduated from Riverhead High School in 2008 and with a partial athletic scholarship to the College of St. Rose in Albany.

She has decided to support Strength for Life, a non-profit that works to help cancer patients enhance their recover process through exercise.

The pageant will take place Aug. 11. at the Patchogue Theater for Performing Arts.
