With a mix of student presentations and performances from local community members, the annual Black History Month Unity Celebration at Riverhead High School was held Monday night being delayed after the big blizzard.

The event at the high school auditorium was originally scheduled for Feb. 12.

A slideshow of famous black Americans was on display as well as performances from the Riverhead High School Steppers and First Baptist Church. School district secretary Jenny Corbin and community adviser Robert Brown recited poetry and speeches written by black poets.
