Minerva Zamber

Aquebogue resident Minerva Zamber died March 2 at her home. She was 95.

Born Sept. 8, 1917, to Louis and Louise Kinirski, she was a homemaker whose interests included shopping and decorating and who, according to family, was known for her fashion sense and artistic jewelry. She was a member of Senior Citizens of Riverhead.

Predeceased by her husband, Antone, in 1996, Ms. Zamber is survived by her children, Shirley Cotts of Florida and David and Paul, both of Riverhead. In addition, she was the grandmother of 13, great-grandmother of 25 and great-great-grandmother of 10.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, March 5, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place Wednesday, March 6, at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, Father Larry Duncklee officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
