Cops: Kawasaki motorcycle reported stolen

A Kawasaki motorcycle worth about $16,000 was reportedly stolen from the patio of a Doctor’s Path home this week, Riverhead Town Police said.

The motorcycle’s owner told police the bike, a black 2012 Kawasaki, was taken from under a tarp on a patio on the north side of his house, according to a police report.

The bike, which did not have a key in the ignition, was taken sometime between Wednesday morning and Sunday afternoon, the victim said. The victim’s girlfriend, whom the bike is titled to, also didn’t know where the bike was.

Police completed a stolen vehicle report and detectives are investigating the theft.
