Marvin E. Brown of Riverhead died March 25 at Southampton Hospital. He was 89 years old.
He was born Feb. 8, 1924, in Reading, Pa., to Elva (Emmons) and A. Joseph Brown. After serving in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II, he worked as a photographer.
Predeceased by his son, David Charles, Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Shelley (née Wheeler), of Riverhead; his daughters, Linda Brown-Key (Dennis Key) of San Diego, Calif., and Susan Rowan (John Rowan) of Nesconset; his brother, Donald Brown of Hawaii; his sister, Eunice Walsh of Massachusetts; his granddaughter, Kaila Rowan; and his grandsons, Trevor and Colin Key and Conor Rowan.
Cremation was private. Arrangements were handled by Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead.
