Board OKs contract adjustment for fields overruns

The Riverhead Town Board formally hired a new board coordinator, Carissa Willis, at Tuesday night’s meeting.

There was also a public hearing on a proposal to limit some downtown-area parking spots to three hours.

Only one person spoke at the hearing.

The board also approved a $72,500 “contract adjustment” to deal with cost overruns at ball fields being built on town land off Route 25 in Calverton.

Staff writer Tim Gannon reported live from the meeting.
