Cops: DWI Task Force nets eight arrests Saturday

Eight arrests were made by the Suffolk County District Attorney’s DWI Task Force Saturday night in Riverhead Town, according to town police.

The task force, created last year, consists of officers from the Riverhead, Southold, and Shelter Island town police, along with officers from the state and Suffolk County Parks police.

Arrested Saturday for driving while intoxicated were Lucino Ramos, 42, of Fairway Avenue, Riverhead;  Michael Rosati, 52, of Southfields Road in Aquebogue; Grant Sendlewski, 25, of River Road in Calverton; Ferando Rosas, 26, of Tub Oarsman Road in East Hampton; and Ochoa Marroquin, 33, of Main Street in Center Moriches; and Michael Romanoff, 46, of Attorney Street New york, N.Y.

In addition, Margaret Hartmann, 29, of Route 111 in Smithtown was charged with driving while ability impaired, and Shaunice Strand, 22, of North Clinton Street in Center Morices was charged with driving under the influence of drugs.

Police said the task force will be doing continued DWI enforcement throughout the year.
