Riverhead man threatened woman with knife
A 51-year-old Riverhead man was arrested after threatening a woman with a knife last Tuesday, Riverhead Town police said.
Police were called to Ostrander Avenue about 4 a.m. where they found a woman who said a man on a bike had threatened her with a knife and then rode off, officials said. Upon searching the area, police located Randy Mouzon, according to a report.
A knife was recovered within three feet of where Mr. Mouzon was arrested, police said. He was charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor, police said.
In 2011, Mr. Mouzon was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and resisting arrest, following a Suffolk County District Attorney’s East End Drug Task Force raid, according to prior News-Review coverage.
