Cops: Baiting Hollow man caught driving with .14 BAC

A Baiting Hollow man was caught driving drunk when he was seen weaving in and out of his lane with one of his brake lights out in Hampton Bays early Sunday, Southampton Town police said.

Police spotted Brian Brown, 25, driving a Dodge R15 pickup truck on Lynn Avenue about 2:30 a.m., according to a police report. The officer pulled over Mr. Brown for having a brake light out and swerving in the road and found he was intoxicated, according to a police report.

Mr. Brown’s breath smelled like alcohol, his speech was slurred and he was “unsteady on his feet,” police said. He failed a field sobriety test and blew a .14 blood alcohol content in a breath test at the scene, according to a police report.

He was arrested and charged with DWI and traffic infractions.
