George H. Trent Sr.

Former Riverhead resident George H. Trent Sr. of Shirley died Sept. 23 at Brookhaven Hospital. He was 61 years old.

Born Sept. 30, 1951, in Cumberland, Va., to Abraham Trent and Mary Richardson, he had been employed by Gallo Auto Parts as a mechanic.

Mr. Trent was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife, Lisa (née Williams); his daughters, Tanisha, Lashawn and Talonia Trent, Kianna Coach, Tashenna Hopkins and Angel Bentley; his sons, Anton, Rashad, George Jr., Shawn and George T.; his stepchildren, Keisha, DeShanna, Andresco, Sharod, Masheia and Antwan Williams and Jalesa and Javonta Harvey; his sisters, Demple West, Lucille Strange, Ivory Brown, Patricia Trent and Dorothy Spruill; his brother, Clarence; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family received visitors Sept. 30 at Galilee Church of God in Christ in Riverhead, where a funeral service was held Oct. 1, Pastor Pennon officiating. Interment followed at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches.
