Riverhead police: 600 pumpkins swiped from Baiting Hollow farm

Over $4,000 worth of pumpkins were stolen from a farm in Baiting Hollow earlier this week, Riverhead Town police said.

A farmer at Rottkamp’s Fox Hollow Farm alerted police about 2:30 p.m. Monday that 600 pumpkins had been stolen from the Sound Avenue farm, according to a report.

The pumpkins were valued at $4,200, police said. Police are investigating.
