Cecelia Naugles

Cecelia Naugles of Aquebogue died Oct. 25 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. She was 78 years old.

She was born Feb. 11, 1935, in Aquebogue to John and Helen Troyan and graduated from Riverhead High School in 1953. She married Joseph Naugles Feb. 14, 1954, at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead.

Family members said she was a homemaker who loved bingo, gardening and bird-watching.

Ms. Naugles was predeceased by her husband in 1987 and her brother Thomas Troyan and is survived by her children, Peter, Joseph, Sheila Tradeski, Kathy Wulforst and Tony, all of Riverhead; her brothers, John Troyan Jr. of Mattituck and Peter Troyan of Aquebogue; her sisters, Lucille Zuhoski of Cutchogue and Theresa Kobylenski of Riverhead; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors Oct. 28 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service was held Oct. 29 at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment was at the church cemetery.
