Benefit concert planned for Goodale family

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Aquebogue is hosting a benefit concert for the Goodale family on Thursday.

Riverhead Town police officer Ben Goodale died suddenly of a heart attack about two months ago at the age of 42. He is survived by his wife, Cathy, and two young children, Rudy and Gavin.

Several of Mr. Goodale’s former wrestling team members helped organized the benefit. Musician that have signed on to preform as of Friday afternoon include: Gene Casey, James O’Malley, Joe and Corydon Allegue, Fred Raimondo, Rob Europe, The Earthtones Rick Hall & Glenn Henry Jochum, Eddie Ayala, Mariann Megna, Southold Slim — Joe Lorraine and Collotta Sferlazza, Nicholas Kerzner, Points East, Bella Vocci, Don Bracken, and Higher Ground.

The event will take place between 6 to 10 p.m. at the church. In addition to entertainment, food will be provided. Suggested admission is $25 per person.
