Marilyn Woodhull

Former Riverhead resident Marilyn Woodhull of New Port Richey, Fla., died Dec. 4 after a brief and valiant fight with lung cancer. She was 61.

She was born Aug. 21, 1952, in Riverhead to Eugene and Eunice Woodhull and graduated from Riverhead High School.

Ms. Woodhull worked as an IT manager for AT&T and served on the board of the AT&T Pioneers in Tampa. She was very involved in numerous nonprofit organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, March of Dimes and United Way. Family members said, “She loved family and friends, cherished good times, and always had to capture the moment with a photo.”

Ms. Woodhull is survived by her daughter, Melanie Villafana of Washington, Ga., and her son, Michael Berendt of New Port Richey; her brothers, George, of Riverhead, and Lawrence, of New Port Richey; and one granddaughter.
