Theodore Trinowski

Former Aquebogue resident Theodore Trinowski of Riverhead died Dec. 23, 2013, at Southampton Hospital. He was 97.

Born in Riverhead July 6, 1916, Mr. Trinowski served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He was most recently employed as a mechanic at East End Service Station in Jamesport. Family members said he enjoyed fishing and restoring cars.

Mr. Trinowski was predeceased by his wife, Bertha, in 2012 and his son, Theodore Jr., in 1965. He is survived by his daughters, Maryann Simchick of Riverhead and Frances Krietsek of Florida; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arrangements for private cremation were handled by McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery.
