Janice Rae Mackey
Janice Rae Mackey of Riverhead died Jan. 18 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. She was 64.
Ms. Mackey taught for over 30 years in Riverhead School District elementary and middle schools.
She is survived by her two daughters, Erin Spellman of Hampton Bays and Melissa Riess of Riverhead, and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Miller.
The family received visitors Jan. 21 at J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays, where parish prayer services were officiated by clergy of Basilica Parish of Sacred Heart Church of Jesus and Mary in Southampton. A funeral service took place Jan. 22 at the church. Cremation was private.
