The Shoreham-Wading River school board is expected to discuss science lab renovations and code violation corrective work at Thursday night’s regular meeting, according to the agenda.

A representative from BBS Architects in Patchogue, the firm hired to do the facility upgrades, is scheduled to give an update on the capital improvement projects. Voters approved a High School Facility Improvements proposition in May that allowed the district to allocate nearly $4.98 million from its Tax Reduction Fund, commonly referred to as “prior year state aid,” to pay for building improvements.

In addition, Superintendent Steven Cohen is expected to present a final review of his series of presentations titled “Strategic Planning.”

Amanda Smith will also be sworn-in as the school board’s newest student representative, according to the agenda.

The public portion of the meeting is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. in the high school library.

The meeting was postponed from Tuesday because of the snowstorm.
