Jerome J. Giordano of Riverhead died Jan. 21 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 58.
He was born on Staten Island Nov. 18, 1955, to Tony and Sarah (Pappagallo) Giordano and was employed as a truck driver with Suffolk Cement in Calverton.
Family members said he was a fan of New York baseball, basketball and football teams and loved watching NASCAR races.
Mr. Giordano was predeceased by his mother in 1996 and is survived by his father, of Florida; his son, Jerry (Nancy), of Riverhead and his daughters, Janie (TJ) Barwick and Jennifer (Kyle) Conforti, all of Aquebogue; his brothers, Anthony, of Riverhead, and Louis, of Florida; his sisters, Sue Sideratos of Riverhead and Roseann Gavin of Florida; and five grandchildren.
The family received visitors Jan. 25 and 26 at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service took place Jan. 27 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, the Rev. Larry Duncklee officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery.
