The Riverhead NJROTC Drill Team took home a number of wins at the NJROTC Drill Meet Feb. 1, making them eligible for the seventh consecutive year for the upcoming Area Four Championship Meet.

At the Drill Meet, students competed against 12 other schools from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut at North Rockland High School in Rockland County, earning enough points to win first place overall in the Varsity Division and second place overall in the First Year Cadet Division.

The Riverhead Drill Team was one of 12 teams out of 58 to qualify for the Area Four Championship Meet, which takes place March 1 in Colt’s Neck, N.J.

The Riverhead NJROTC will host its annual Navy Ball at the Hyatt Ballroom Feb. 7 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
