Shoreham-Wading River senior Dom Pirraglia (top) will wrestle in the 182-pound bracket of the state tournament beginning Friday.

The New York State Wrestling Championships kick off Friday morning at Times Union Center in Albany. Shoreham-Wading River senior Dom Pirraglia will wrestle in the 182-pound bracket after earning an at-large bid to the tournament. 

Pirraglia will face Sammy Davis of Union-Endicott in the first round. If he wins he’ll face either Collin Pittman of Spencerport or Maleke Cunningham of Wingate in the quarterfinals.

The semifinals and finals are Saturday.
