Man robbed of wallet, cash at 7-Eleven

Riverhead Police said a man was robbed of $300 at 7-Eleven shortly before 2 a.m. this morning and are seeking the public’s help finding the man who did it.

According to police, a 39-year-old Segal Avenue resident was sent to Peconic Bay Medical Center after someone punched him in the face at the 7-Eleven near the Department of Motor Vehicles, fracturing his nose in the process.

The robber fled the scene, according to police, taking his wallet with $300 cash in the process.

Police said they are still investigating and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call police at 727-4500, ext. 377.
