Update: Police arrest alleged Rocky Point bank robber

A Rocky Point man has been arrested in connection with a robbery Wednesday at the Capital One Bank branch in Rocky Point.
Christopher O’Donnell, 38, was charged with second-degree robbery.

Police said Wednesday afternoon that they are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Rocky Point earlier in the day.
According to Suffolk County Police, a man entered Capital One on Route 25A about 9:30 a.m. and demanded cash from a teller. The suspect was described as white, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, and between 25 and 30 years old with a thin build. He was reportedly wearing blue jeans and a flannel shirt over a gray hooded-sweatshirt.
The suspect fled the scene on foot, though authorities didn’t know where.
