The American Institute of Architects, Peconic, is offering merit and financial aid scholarships ranging from $750 to $3,000. Graduating East End high school seniors and college or graduate students currently accepted by or enrolled in an accredited school of architecture are eligible to apply.
In addition to an application form, applicants must provide a print and digital portfolio of five to ten drawings or photos of current work, a resume or curriculum vitae and two letters of recommendation. A self-addressed stamped envelope must be included if applicants want materials returned.
The deadline for applications and supporting documentation is May 16. Recipients will be notified June 16, and are encouraged to attend the August 14, AIA Peconic dinner meeting to accept the award. Call 728-7832 or visit aiapeconic.org for forms, criteria and additional information.
