Riverhead blotter: Riverhead man stole from Home Depot

A 66-year-old Riverhead man is facing grand larceny charges after making fraudulent charges at a Home Depot store in Coram, where he worked, county police said. 

Police said Raymond Anderson made the charges, valued at over $1,000, sometime between Dec. 5 and April 5.

Mr. Anderson is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, according to a report.

• A 26-year-old man from Monroe County was arrested for drunken driving in the vicinity of King Kullen in Wading River Friday night, police said.

Adam Hamilton of Webster was arrested about 8:30 p.m., according to a report.

• A 27-year-old Wading River man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Main Street in Riverhead Saturday, state police said.

Kevin Tyson was arrested for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to a report.

Mr. Tyson is expected in court April 21, police said.

• A 41-year-old Riverhead man was arrested on a town code violation after being found with an open container of alcohol last Thursday, police said.

Jose Garcia was arrested on Railroad Avenue about 7:31 p.m., according to a report.

Upon arrival at police headquarters, Mr. Garcia became “extremely ill” and was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center, police said.

He was issued a summons to appear in town court at a later date, according to a report.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
