The Shoreham-Wading River school board is expected to vote on a $239,800 contract for roof replacement work at the high school, according to Tuesday night’s meeting agenda.

If approved, the contract will be awarded to More Contracting and Consulting of Port Jefferson Station, the resolution states.

The recently adopted budget for next school year, which the public will vote on May 20, includes the use of $1.51 million from the district’s capital fund for several facility improvement projects, including the high school roof project. The high school public address system, various repairs at Miller Avenue and Wading River elementary schools, and making buildings ADA compliant, are included in the budget as well.

The school board also plans to update the public on its recently formed bond committee and senior Max Goldfarb is scheduled to be sworn-in as the school board’s newest student rep and nonvoting member.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. in the high school library.
