Southampton blotter: Someone stole Flanders woman’s dog, cable box

A Flanders woman reported last Wednesday that someone stole her dog and her cable television box, according to Southampton Town police.

The woman said her 4-year-old Pomeranian was not in his cage in the backyard of her Oak Avenue home at about 12:30 p.m. and that her Cablevision box was missing from her living room, police said.

• A Flanders man reported that someone in Pennsylvania had made four unauthorized charges to his Visa credit card totaling $604, according to police.

The man was called by Visa with regard to the charges, which he did not make.

The first two charges, made April 18, were for $219 at a Rite Aid in Womelsdorf, Pa., and $111 at Issis Oil in Lebanon, Pa., according to police.

The next two charges came April 19, for $189 at Boyers Great Value in Womelsdorf and $85 at ExxonMobil in Lebanon, according to police.

Police said the card has been canceled and they are investigating the case.

• A $200 Suzuki dirt bike was reported stolen from a home on Flanders Boulevard Saturday morning.

The occupant of the home told police that someone had entered through unlocked Bilco doors and stolen his dirt bike from the basement overnight, according to police.
