The ring was worth roughly $1,000. Police are investigating.

• A man was threatened with a knife during an argument at the county center in Riverside last Monday, according to a police report.

The victim told police that a man brandished a knife and threatened to cut him after a fight about 8 a.m., police said. No arrests were reported in the incident.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
