Cops: Robbery, slashing reported near Wildwood Lake

A Northampton man reported being robbed, attacked and slashed by several people while he was walking in wooded trails on the west side of Wildwood Lake last Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

The victim told police he had just walked into the woods and then onto the trails, where he was assaulted by several individuals who threw him down and beat him, according to police.

One of the attackers cut the victim on his left inside forearm with a sharp object that the victim was unable to identify.

The suspects took about $70 cash from the victim’s front pocket, according to police, who said the victim sustained a three- to four-inch laceration on his arm.
