Cops: Riverhead man nabbed on forgery, theft charges

A 41-year-old Riverhead man was arrested Sunday on forgery and stolen property charges for an incident that took place about two months ago at Walgreens Pharmacy in Wading River, according to a Riverhead Town police press release. 

Brian C. Kelly was arrested at his home following a police investigation stemming from the May 18 incident at the pharmacy, officials said.

He was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, police said.

Mr. Kelly was transported to Suffolk County Correctional Facility and is awaiting arraignment, officials said.
