Book Beat: Baiting Hollow author to sign copies of ‘Harvest Road’

• Melissa Martin of Baiting Hollow, author of the wine country romance “Harvest Road,” will sign copies of her books from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at Clovis Point Wines in Jamesport and from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Claudio’s parking lot during the Greenport Maritime Festival. 

• David Swatling will read from and sign copies of his book “Calvin’s Head” at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Floyd Memorial Library in Greenport. The murder mystery features Jason Dekker, homeless in Amsterdam, and his dog, Calvin.

• South Fork author Gage Irving, who wrote “Thanksgiving,” will hold a reading and book-signing event at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Floyd Memorial Library. “Thanksgiving” is the first book in her Holiday series.
