State police: Three drug arrests in Riverhead last week

A 33-year-old unlicensed Riverhead woman was arrested on a drug charge after being stopped on Osborne Avenue last Monday, State police said.

Sharod Sutton was arrested for and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, according to a report.

Ms. Sutton is due in Riverhead Town Justice Court Wednesday.

Police reported two men were also arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop on Wilson Avenue in Riverhead Wednesday, according to a report.

Eugene Lyons, 60 of Riverhead was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, and Kyle Van Duzer, 29, of Florida was arrested for possession of a hypodermic instrument, state police said.

Both are due in court Wednesday.
