Friends of Amy Bradstreet, a Flanders woman killed in upstate New York earlier this month, have started an online fundraiser to benefit her two sons: Dougie and Jack.

A gofundme page was created with a goal of raising $20,000 for the boys. As of Sunday afternoon, more than $17,000 had been raised.

“She leaves behind two beautiful boys, both under the age of four,” the page reads. “A trust has been established for Dougie and Jack at Oneida Savings Bank in Cazenovia, N.Y.”

Stephen Schumejda, 31, Ms. Bradstreet’s live-in boyfriend and the father of her children, was arrested after police discovered the 44-year-old’s body at the home they shared in Cazenovia, N.Y., a town about 17 miles southeast of Syracuse.

Mr. Schumejda allegedly used a knife to stab Ms. Bradstreet “several times in the face, neck and body,” according to a criminal complaint filed in Cazenovia Town Court. He has been charged with second-degree murder, felony assault and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon.
