Cops: Ohio man held on warrant after stealing tools

An Ohio man was arrested on a felony grand larceny charge after police said an investigation revealed that he stole two chainsaws and a leaf blower from a Route 58 store in mid-August. 

According to Riverhead Police, 34-year-old Daniel Gilliland took the tools on Aug. 16 from Home Depot. An investigation was conducted and Mr. Gillilland was arrested on Thursday.

Police said the man was arraigned at Riverhead Justice Court, and later transported to Suffolk County Correctional Facility, where he remains held on an outstanding warrant from Hermitage, Penn.
