Person reports child left in car, turns out to be tiny man

A Riverhead Town Police officer responded to a downtown Riverhead deli just after 1 a.m. Sunday after someone thought they saw a child left alone in a car, according to a police report. 

An officer got to the deli on Griffing Avenue and after a quick search found the vehicle, the report stated.

But the cop found that there was no child in the car, just a “very small” man sleeping in the backseat.
