Charles W. Richards

Charles W. Richards of Calverton died Sept. 23. He was 79.

He was born April 16, 1935, in Astoria, Queens to Charles and Bertha Reicherzer and married Patrica Neary March 29, 1958, in Woodside.

Mr. Richards served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960. He owned TCI painting company in Farmingdale.

Family members said he loved drag racing and puzzles.

Mr. Richards is survived by his wife, Patricia (née Neary); his daughter, Debra Amodio of East Northport; his son, Charles W. Richards of Farmingdale; and four grandchildren.

The family received visitors Sept. 28 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service was held Sept. 29 at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Calverton National Cemetery.
