Riverhead man arrested on bench warrant charge

A Riverhead man was arrested by Southampton Police Friday night on a Southampton Town justice court warrant after they said he had previously failed to pay a fine.

According to Southampton Police, 36-year-old Tommy R. Davis Jr. was turned over to them by Riverhead Town Police on a bench warrant. Authorities said he did not pay a fine in the court related to a previous vehicle and traffic violation.

He was held for morning arraignment in Southampton Town Justice Court.
