RECAP: Town Board moves Northville Tank hearing to March 18
United Riverhead Terminal asked for a two-month adjournment of the public hearing scheduled for Tuesday on its special permit to build two new tanks on its Northville property, but the Riverhead Town Board instead gave its an adjournment of about three months.
The Town Board at its work session Thursday agreed to move the continuation of the public hearing to March 18. United Riverhead wanted the extra time to answer all the questions and concerns raised by residents at an Oct. 21 hearing, which was originally adjourned to Dec. 16.
Among other topics discussion at Thursday’s work session were the sale of the East Lawn building, increasing usage fees for the town’s Showmobile, and a new proposal to regulate “flyboarding.”
