Christmastime burglary reported at Riverhead apartment

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person or people responsible for a break-in at a Riverhead apartment sometime around the Christmas holiday.

Riverhead Town police were called to 1750 West Main Street apartment building about 7:15 p.m. Saturday, officials said. There, they were informed that sometime between Christmas Eve and Saturday, Dec. 27, someone forced open a window at the apartment and “removed assorted items” before fleeing, according to a police report.

No description of a suspect was provided by police.
