Paula Oehrle Mailander

Paula Oehrle Mailander died Dec. 24 at Mercy Medical Center. She was 81. 

She was born Oct. 28, 1933, in Washington D.C. to Cecile (Swarthout) and John William Oehrle. She worked as a secretary for Suffolk County Department of Health.

Predeceased by her first husband, Herbert Davids, in 1998, Ms. Mailander is survived by her husband, William Mailander of Riverhead; her sons, Michael Davids Sr. of Mattituck, and William and Randall Rosser Sr., both of Alabama; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family received visitors Dec. 29 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginal H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service was held Dec. 30 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, officiated by Father Larry Duncklee. Interment took place at Calverton National Cemetery.
