Richard F. Dillon

Former longtime Aquebogue resident Richard F. Dillon of Duck Creek Village, Utah died of a heart attack Jan. 8 in Virginia. He was 75. He was born Aug. 1, 1939, in Babylon to Beatrice (Davis) and Richard Dillon. He married Dorothy (née Troyan) May 29, 1965, in Riverhead.

Family members said Mr. Dillon was a retired woodworker, who also enjoyed fishing and cooking. While living in Utah, he was a member of Cedar Mountain Fire Protection District; an Emergency Medical Service responder; and a member of King Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife; Mr. Dillon is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Jean Lovett and her husband of Alexandria, Va.; his daughter Kimberly Scott and her husband of Las Vegas, NV; and six grandchildren.

The family received visitors Jan. 12 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service took place Jan. 13 at St. Isidore R.C. Church in Riverhead. Cremation will be private.
