Elaine I. Cork

Elaine I. Cork of Calverton died Jan. 6 at her home. She was 80. 

Ms. Cork was born Feb. 11, 1934, in Brooklyn to Grace (Lutz) and Edward Kalberer. She worked as a store supervisor for Abraham and Strauss department store in Huntington.

She is survived by her husband, Louis; her daughter, Melinda Young of Riverhead; her son, Stephen of Calverton; her daughter, Kimberly Kennedy of Patchogue; her brother, Everett Kalberer of Setauket; her granddaughter, Krystal Young; and her grandsons, Michael Young and Zachary Kennedy.

The family received visitors Jan. 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service took place Jan. 9 at the funeral home, officiated by Deacon Wayne Padula. Interment will take place at Calverton National Cemetery.
