Free wood! Pickup available daily at Wildwood State Park

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is offering daily wood pickup from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Wildwood State Park in Wading River. 

A permit must be obtained from the park office before removing wood from downed/fallen trees from the facility. Some precut wood will be available; some pieces may need cutting. Small pickups and commercial plates are allowed. Wood may transported within 50 miles, according to Department of Environmental Conservation regulations.
