National Weather Service: More snow coming tonight

After 20-plus inches of snow fell earlier this week, what’s another one or two inches?

That’s what can be expected overnight, according to the National Weather Service, which is predicting more snowfall starting after midnight and into tomorrow morning.

According to David Stark, meteorologist with the NWS, “total accumulation should be around an inch” as warmer air — meaning, all things being relative, temperatures into the low 30s — sweeps into the area.

This weekend is expected to be dry, though Mr. Stark said that a 50/50 chance exists at the moment for more snow sweeping into the area on Monday. How much it could be — assuming it does hit —”it’s too early to say,” he said.

One thing is for sure though: “It doesn’t look as big as what we just saw.”

As of now, the NWS has issued no official warnings or advisories.
