A Jamesport man was arrested for the second time this month for allegedly assaulting someone, first with a screwdriver and now a brick, Riverhead Town police said.

Police responded to the train station on Rail Road Avenue at around 9:15 a.m. Friday after reports of two men fighting. Police arrested Alvah Randall Jr., 28, and charged with him with second-degree assault after determining he struck another man in the head three times with a brick. He was the only person arrested in the fight.

Earlier this month, Mr. Randall was arrested for allegedly cutting a woman with a screwdriver during an argument.

Mr. Randall is being held pending arraignment in Riverhead Town Justice Court, police said.
